* These note-writing events were so successful on Wed Nov 17, that we are printing more cards for an additional round!
Monday, Nov. 22, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Sojourner Truth Library lobby
An opportunity to show appreciation by writing a hand-made card to members of our community who
- Support our thriving
- Help us learn
- Clean our dorms and offices
- Study with us
- Listen to us
- Prepare and serve us food
- Coach us
- Teach us to teach each other
- Speak out
- Share a smile
- Hold space for us
Join us one week before the traditional U.S. Thanksgiving to write a thank-you note to someone at SUNY New Paltz who supports you or helps you thrive. Stop by the Sojourner Truth Library lobby or Student Union MPR lobby to write a card designed by Art students and send it to your colleague, advisor, roommate, food service provider, professor, librarian, or anyone else who helps you learn, grow, and live your life here on campus. As a feature of Mental Health Week, this is an opportunity for building connection and creative expression. All members of our campus community are invited to participate. Cards will be delivered by hand or through campus mail (pre-sorted!).
This is a simple way we can define a new tradition that defines us as a community.
