Access: Supports for Living is a non-profit agency serving the Mid-Hudson Valley community and beyond in all aspects of human services. Growing and expanding Behavioral Health including Community Counseling Clinics, PROS Clinics, Mobile Mental Health, Psychiatric Urgent Care, Community Outreach. This position is tailored towards Organizational Communication students. This position requires that applicants be eligible to receive credit hours for their internship and must be studying Human Resources or a related field.

This position is located in Middletown and unpaid with flexible hours within the following time frame, Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm.

Duties consist of:

  • Marketing and advertising jobs.
  • Researching and writing effective job descriptions.
  • Provide onboarding support.

  • Gain HRIS experience.
  • Assist in archiving, as well as some electronic file management and organization.
  • Additional assignments may be determined at a future date.

Redeemer Lutheran Church of New Paltz Seeking Communication Interns

Position: Part-Time Intern

Target Candidates: Students from SUNY New Paltz in Marketing, Communications, Events, and Theatre

Job Description:

Redeemer Lutheran Church is seeking a motivated and creative intern to join our team for the  semester. This position is perfect for students looking to gain hands-on experience in marketing, communications, event planning, and theater.. The intern will work directly with our Communication and Development Coordinator and key leaders to support and enhance our communication and development efforts.

Responsibilities:

1. Communication Management:

  • Update and provide content to existing communication outlets including bulletins, newsletters, the church website, and Facebook.
  • Collaborate with staff and leaders to create integrated and expanded communication campaigns.

2. Grant-Writing:

  • Explore grant-writing opportunities for the congregation.
  • Prepare grant letters for review. 

3. CommUNITY Spaces Support:

  • Support CommUNITY Spaces via advertising and marketing opportunities. 
  • Create event ideas for the community and assist in marketing and advertising them which includes flier design, campaigns, etc. 

4. Building Operations Coordination:

  • Research opportunities to update/enhance the technology in Sanctuary and Community Room  to enhance audio and visual for congregation in person (and virtually) as well as for the growing number of community groups utilizing these spaces for concerts and other events. 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, Events, Theatre, or related program at SUNY New Paltz.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, content creation, and basic website management.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in community engagement and development.

Hours and Compensation:

  • Part-time position for the semester.
  • Flexible hours to accommodate class schedules.
  • This is an unpaid internship but with extensive hands on experience and several recommendations, along with meeting many community members.

Communication and Social Media Internship Opportunity with The Newburgh Urban Farm and Food Initiative (NUFFI)

The Newburgh Urban Farm and Food Initiative (NUFFI), is a not for profit organization that empowers residents working together to build a just and resilient food system that improves the environment and health of the community in the City of Newburgh.

NUFFI is seeking a Communications Intern to assist with community engagement through NUFFI’s social media accounts. The position is for an individual who can commit 2-5 hours a week on a flexible schedule, with a majority of the work being done remotely. The position will report to the NUFFI’s Communications Consultant. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Post to social media accounts and generate interactions
  • Aid in creating and scheduling social media posts
  • Attend events and document details for website and social media content 

Position Requirements: 

  • Proficient in Instagram and Facebook platforms 
  • Knowledgeable in content creation 
  • Able to work 2-5 hours a week and is flexible for some weekend events 
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus but not required 

The internship can start as soon as possible and can run as long as intern is available.  Compensation for the position would be $18/ hour.
