Ulster County Climate Corps is looking for applicants for their Summer 2025 Internship Program. This is a paid, project-based program where participants will be assigned to County departments to help implement the County’s climate and sustainability initiatives that work to meet the goals of the New York State Climate Act. Some examples of the projects entailed are creating outreach materials (flyers, infographics, organizational charts, etc.) for the Better Homes for All Program; designing fliers, social media graphics, and infographics for the Executive’s Office; or working with the Public Works Department to establish a formal relationship with a local compost facility.

Living Internship Stipend Applications Open Now!
Are you doing an internship this semester that is NOT required by your major? You may be eligible for up to $3,000 to support your experience!
The Living Internship Stipend is meant to support graduate and undergraduate students doing unrequired internships in public service or high-demand, non-profit fields. It can be credit or non-credit bearing. Stipends are disbursed via check in two installments directly to the student after fulfilling completion requirements.

NYS Grants Fund for Non-Required Internships
Communication majors are eligible for up to $3K under the “Living Internship Stipend.” The Living Internship Stipend provides support that enables students to participate in unpaid internships, fieldwork, or curricular applied learning in public service and high-demand non-profit sectors related to their major and/or future career goals, but is NOT REQUIRED by their major. Funding provided can support transportation, parking, childcare, housing, food, and other incidental costs and expenses. If selected, applicants may be approved for up to $3,000.
