The purpose of the Inclusive Teaching and Learning Certificate Program is to help faculty and others involved in teaching and learning in higher education develop new mindsets and strategies for more inclusive and equitable practices in classrooms and other learning environments. The certificate provides evidence that the participants have attained a basic set of essential skills and knowledge needed for teaching a diverse student population.

The program features:

• Nine courses total with three courses in three concentrations:
  • Communication, Engagement, and Student Success
  • Bringing Theory to Inclusive Practice
  • Inclusive Design and Equitable Assessment
• Three learning paths:
  • Complete one course in each of the three concentrations for the overall certificate
  • All three courses in a single concentration for a certificate in that area
  • Complete one or two courses to earn a course completion digital badge
