Fall 2024 courses begin August 27, 2024 

Online Student Supports Certificate Program has been redesigned to include evidence-based strategies and insights gained during the pandemic tailored to the unique needs of online students. The updated curriculum places a stronger emphasis on delivering comprehensive support that addresses academic, social-emotional, and technical considerations specific to online learners. Participants will formulate a research-driven strategy to meet the needs of the online student community on their campus.  

The program consists of 3 (three) online, asynchronous courses offered via Brightspace. The courses are 6 (six) weeks in length each, and they contain approximately 3-5 hours of work each week.  

Fall 2024 Course Dates 

Course 1: Foundations of the Online Student Support Role, August 27 – October 7, 2024 

Course 2: Campus Overview: Developing Campus Structures for Online Student Supports, October 15 – November 25, 2024 

Course 3: Proactive Approach to Supporting Online Learners, January 7 – February 17, 2025
