This hybrid talk/workshop will explore concepts of embodied empathy and connective practice in intercultural contexts, culminating in the facilitated practice of one specific exercise that invites participants to practice embodied awareness while navigating personal investment and authenticity across conversations with unfamiliar subject matter. This practice, which can be used in pedagogical or collaborative contexts, encourages participants to explore terrain at the edges of their comfort zones by investigating how they navigate the unfamiliar.
