To provide an even more robust forum for conversation on topics related to ChatGPT, the FDC, together with the Provost’s Office, Associate Provost for Academic Planning & Learning Innovation and Dean of Continuing & Online Education, Committee of Educational Technology, and the Writing Board, will be co-hosting a series of Conversations Circles this February and March.  Following the Conversation Circles, we hope to host an Open Forum in April.  You can join the Conversation Circles in person in the FDC (College Hall 113) or via WebEx (see individual session links below).

Facilitator: Josh Korenblat, Associate Professor of Graphic Design, Co-chair of the Committee on Educational Technology, and member of the Digital Scholarship Center (formerly DASH Lab) advisory board. Josh’s expertise includes data visualization, digital imaging, writing, and curriculum design.

Facilitator: Kiersten Greene, Associate Professor and Department Chair of Teaching & Learning. Kiersten’s most recent scholarship explores the intersections of professional learning, culturally responsive-sustaining education, and technology infusion practices in teacher education.

Facilitators: Matt Newcomb and Glenn Geher. Matt Newcomb, Associate Professor of English, specializes in Rhetoric and Composition and has coordinated the Composition program since 2010. Glenn Geher, Professor of Psychology and Founding Director of Evolutionary Studies, specializes in evolutionary and social psychology.

Facilitator: David Hobby, Associate Professor and Chair of Mathematics. David’s research interests include universal algebra and computer science.
