Investigating Reliability and Validity of Assessments with Sunny Duerr, Assistant Dean, School of Education, meeting postponed

The language surrounding accreditation has grown to include two terms that can sometimes be seen as difficult to implement: Reliability and Validity. In this workshop, participants will investigate the reliability and validity for measures that evaluate student performance against established learning outcomes (such as those on a course syllabus). The workshop will include a brief presentation on some of the types of reliability and validity used in higher education, some simple methodology, and a guided working example to demonstrate the processes associated with investigating these psychometric properties.
