Games in Teaching, Scholarship, and Practice Group, Fall 2019 meetings TBA

The Games in Teaching, Scholarship, and Practice group is an informal gathering of teaching and professional faculty with interests in games of any kind in one or more of the following areas:
  • Games as teaching tools – incorporating games or play into your classroom as a way of facilitating student learning and engagement
  • Games as course content – teaching about the history, culture, design, or play of games within a course
  • Games and play as a topic of scholarly inquiry
  • Designing and organizing play experiences to enrich or support campus initiatives beyond the classroom
Dates:  TBD
Time:  12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
Location:  Faculty Development Center (College Hall 113).
The initial goals of the group include finding colleagues with overlapping interests, sharing ideas and resources, identifying opportunities for collaboration as desired. Oh, and we plan on having fun along the way! All professional and teaching faculty are most welcome.
