Members of the College community, especially teaching faculty, are invited to review, discuss and help interpret preliminary findings from the academic advising survey which was administered during the fall 2017 semester.
Two informal meetings will be held in the Faculty Development Center, scheduled for March 13th from 1:00-2:00 PM and for March 15th from 11:00-12:00 PM.
The advising survey is an important part of the program’s evaluation, a process intended to set the stage for a rigorous and ongoing assessment plan. The evaluation will use a mixed methods approach that includes the advising survey, an advisee/student survey, and an internal assessment that draws from both qualitative and quantitative sources.
The preliminary survey feedback has been useful in identifying leading priorities. An evidence-backed, participatory process will continue to inform our efforts to improve our academic advising program.
