The Chemistry Department will be hosting our annual Family Mole Night on the first Friday in November. There will be hands-on science activities and demonstrations for kids. This year’s theme is “Chemistry Rocks!” so the activities will highlight the chemical properties of rocks and minerals. The activities are designed for children 6-12 years old and the event will take place from 5:30-7:00 PM Friday, November 3 on the third floor of Coykendall Science Building on the SUNY New Paltz campus.
We have space for about 40 participants, so please email Laura Silvernail, silvernl@newpaltz.edu to make a reservation. Feel free to forward this to other families in the community. Other information about this year’s theme and National Chemistry Week, coming up at the end of October, can be found at the American Chemical Society’s website athttps://www.acs.org/content/acs/en/education/outreach/ncw.html
