DMJ and Comm Students of Greek Heritage Have the Chance to Earn a Grant of $5,000
Peter Agris Memorial Journalism Scholarships is holding its 30th annual awards for DMJ and Comm students of Greek Heritage. The careers of 141 aspiring journalists have been supported by grants totaling almost three-quarters of a million dollars over the last thirty years through the partnership initiated by the Alpha Omega Council and the Agris Family to honor the memory of Peter Agris, the founder of the Council and the publisher of The Hellenic Chronicle newspaper. Welcome to the Fall semester!
Just a quick note with some important dates and advising tips.
First, September 4th is the LAST DAY to add or drop a course to your schedule without an electronic permission of instructor (and a late fee). September 11th is the last day to add/drop a course but you will need electronic permission from the instructor and $20 course change fee. Instructors generally will NOT add students after the first week of classes, so it’s wise to check your Fall class schedule NOW and make any adjustments as soon as possible. Continue reading
Woodstock Film Festival Seeks Interns
The Woodstock Film Festival is currently searching for interns in ALL departments, including but not limited to Operations, Press, Public Relations, and Administrative. General experience includes database management, film entry screening evaluations, fundraising, public relations, press, community outreach, event planning, equipment optimizing/organization, and more. Of course, the internship will be custom tailored depending on the intern’s individual experience and skills.
