Journalism & PR Interns Needed in Poughkeepsie

Hair on Hudson Academy (HOHA) is looking for PR/Journalism students who are looking to create engaging content and write articles for our monthly magazine. Located in the downtown City of Poughkeepsie, Hair on Hudson Academy is at the forefront of the beauty industry for the Mid-Hudson Valley, training tomorrow’s stylists and estheticians since 2017.

But don’t be fooled – we’re not just about cutting hair and painting nails. The secret to our success is where YOU come in! We are currently looking for journalism interns to write, edit, and take photography for an array of creative projects like:

  • Writing and designing regular newsletters
  • Writing, interviewing, editing, taking photography for a monthly magazine
  • Creating promotional material through Canva and more…

You’ll find yourself applying your journalistic skills in a different capacity. Writing and editing is obvious, right? But you’ll see that organizational skills, administrative work, and even interpersonal communication are skills that you’ve been honing throughout your education. We are also looking for PR Interns to:

  • Write, take photography, and design regular social media posts
  • Connect and communicate with local businesses and schools
  • Assist in promoting events and more…

You’ll find yourself applying your skills in the field, connecting with local communities and surrounding school districts. Time to put those theories to practical use!

THIS is your opportunity to truly explore the range of those abilities and learn to diversify your skillset to adapt to any environment.
