Gabrielle Bouissou, MS, LCAT-LP, MT-BC is a music therapist and the coordinator of the Asthma Initiative Program (AIP) and the Advanced In Respiration (AIR) program at The Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center.
She attended SUNY New Paltz from 2013-2017 and received her B.A. in Psychology, B.S. in Contemporary Music Studies, and M.S. in Music Therapy. She completed her clinical internship at the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine, where she then continued for a post-graduate research fellowship where she oversaw research studies taking place in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and conducted a pilot music therapy program in the Behavioral Health Services of Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
Gabrielle works from a medical music psychotherapy philosophy, recognizing the importance of person-centered care in a bustling hospital environment.du
