Fieldworks Observations

  • write words three times with a test on friday- for spelling
  • iPad used for answering reading comprehension questions when the students read their level appropriate books-used to assess the students
  • buddy reading groups with same reading level
  • 2 lowest readers read sight words first then read the story a few times
  • read story and answer questions together for comprehension

Comprehension

  • Finishing the sentece of their opinon of their favorite dr.seuss story or what they like about it.
  • Fills out multiple choice questions and answers comprehension questions as teacher reads aloud.
  • Teacher works one on one with reading groups discussing comprehesion and their guided reading strategies.
  • Teacher reads aloud and models activity relating to book, then sends children to fill out their own opinion on the story.
