The Nature Conservancy looking for Paid Global Storytelling Summer Intern

The Marketing & Communication Teams for The Nature Conservancy are looking for a Global Storytelling Intern for their Protect Oceans, Lands, and Waters initiative. This internship is for writers wanting to work in organizations tackling global conservation goals.

The Global Storytelling Intern will…

  • Conduct background research and interviews
  • Craft narratives of people, science and conservation
  • Bring to life the work of people advancing progress toward climate and biodiversity goals 

The minimum qualifications to apply include… 

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (or recent graduate) with experience in journalism, narrative nonfiction, or science writing
  • 2-3 writing samples
  • Experience/interest in global conservation topics or initiatives
  • Ability to write and communicate effectively, with experience in story research, narrative nonfiction, journalism, science writing, and editing
  • Proficiency in applying organizational skills and attention to detail  
  • Skilled in translating complex strategies into engaging and meaningful narratives
  • Access to a reliable internet connection

This internship is full-time, remote, temporary, and location is flexible. The duration is 10-weeks, beginning June 2, 2025 and ending August 8, 2025. The salary is $17/hr. All applicants will be notified of final selection by April 30. To apply, visit this link.

Applications Are Open for Ulster County Climate Corps Summer 2025 Paid Internship Program

Ulster County Climate Corps is looking for applicants for their Summer 2025 Internship Program. This is a paid, project-based program where participants will be assigned to County departments to help implement the County’s climate and sustainability initiatives that work to meet the goals of the New York State Climate Act. Some examples of the projects entailed are creating outreach materials (flyers, infographics, organizational charts, etc.) for the Better Homes for All Program;  designing fliers, social media graphics, and infographics for the Executive’s Office; or working with the Public Works Department to establish a formal relationship with a local compost facility.
