Duties The Department of Psychology at the State University of New York at New Paltz invites applications for a tenure-track position in Developmental Psychology beginning in Fall 2019. Preference will be given to candidates who specialize in infant and child development and have an active research agenda with a commitment to involve students in research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 18 credits during the academic year (3 courses per semester) in coursework that contributes to our undergraduate and graduate degrees. Likely classes include Infancy and Child Development, Developmental Psychology (graduate), Statistics and/or Research Methods, and a seminar in a specialty area.
Qualifications A Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology; exceptional ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered. Demonstrated successes or potential in the domain of college teaching and academic research is expected.
