Associate Professor Karla Vermeulen presented a paper at the 2019 Society for the Study of Emerging Adulthood conference in Toronto, Canada. Her paper was entitled “Disaster Experience, 9/11, and Safety Concerns in Emerging Adulthood.” In addition, Dr. Vermeulen also co-presented a poster with psychology alum Jack Salend, who graduated in May 2019. Their poster was on on addiction and emerging adults. Both the presentation and poster were based on research for a book that Dr. Vermeulen is currently writing.
