Digital Media, Journalism and Management Interns Needed for the Legislative Gazette; Travel Stipends Offered and Scholarships Available for Underrepresented Students and Full-time Interns   

The Legislative Gazette is looking for intern reporters, photographers, video news producers, and media managers for the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semester. Several scholarships are available — for students to travel, for underrepresented students, and for those who can enroll full-time in the internship (12 credits) and the deadline is May 15. 

 

Interns will cover state news, and select local and national stories too, for the Gazette’s website and social media network. A team is also needed to plan and produce Gazette Talks, a new podcast that features Legislative Gazette reporters and special guests giving a behind-the-scenes look at how the news is made each week. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County seeks a student intern with experience in digital media marketing and communication for summer and fall positions. 

The chosen individual will work with the Communications Liaison to assist in developing marketing, graphic design, and communication materials. This internship will also work within certain social media platforms under the direction of the Communications Liaison.

Resolve Philly Offers Paid Summer Editorial Internships

Resolve Philly is a collaborative solutions reporting project that focuses on economic mobility in Philadelphia. They are hiring for a paid remote summer internship, $15 an hour for 20-25 hours per week. They are a nonprofit looking for an editorial intern to be involved with their Equally Informed, Reframe, and Community Engagement initiatives. The work can include investigative, solutions and data journalism as well as collaborative newsroom operations. Audio Internship with Kaatscast Podcast

Silver Hollow Audio is hosting an internship for their podcast “Kaatscast,” a biweekly podcast featuring history, sustainability, travel and storytelling in the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains.

This internship would be best suited for a digital media production major or anyone with interest in audio/podcast production.

This is a remote internship, but may include the possibility of a couple outdoor interviews (following all safety guidelines).
