Welcome to the Fall semester!
Just a quick note with some important dates and advising tips.
First, September 4th is the LAST DAY to add or drop a course to your schedule without an electronic permission of instructor (and a late fee). September 11th is the last day to add/drop a course but you will need electronic permission from the instructor and $20 course change fee. Instructors generally will NOT add students after the first week of classes, so it’s wise to check your Fall class schedule NOW and make any adjustments as soon as possible.
Please download and save the SUNY New Paltz | Fall 2022 Full Semester Academic Calendar which has all the deadlines, policies and forms/processes.

Our department advisor Nancy Heiz has walk-in office hours all this week and next week if you can’t meet with your major advisor (her office is in Coykendall Science Bldg, Room 64 at the very end of the hall).

Firelight is two separate organizations with one mission: to support communities of color in front of and behind the camera. We seek interns in several departments: Production, Communication, Operations, Development. https://www.firelightmedia.tv/
It is Firelight’s mission to mentor our interns and give them the skills and experience to be the next generation of film, media, and arts administration professionals. Opportunities include the production and development of documentary film projects; graphic design and social video production; fundraising and arts administration, and more.
Townsquare Media is still interviewing qualified candidates for FALL 2022 internships with a start date of 9/17 in the following departments: Promotions, Live Events, Programming, Production, Digital, Business and Sales. Our program remains a hybrid with remote and in-person schedules. We can accommodate specific interns who may require full remote if necessary. [NOTE TO STUDENTS: Although the start date is in September, to earn credit you must be hired and registered for the credits by the first week of the semester.]
