The Department of Digital Media and Journalism, CAS, SUNY New Paltz Alumni Association, and the Media Society present… Media Day 2024! Media Day will take place Thursday, May 9th, beginning with the Alumni Panel at 10am and closing at 6pm with a Keynote Speaker in SUB 62/63.
The 10am Alumni Panel will include Brian David Cange, Ivey Rey, Alaina Donnellon, Cloey Callahan, Scott Skuggevik & Felicia Kirschner. This panel will allow one to understand the alumni’s career paths, how they got to that career path and what that career path entails. Networking is also established. Breakfast will be served! The 6pm Keynote Speaker is strategic media consultant Lee Hunt.

Brian David Cange is an award-winning producer who has worked as a line producer on such films as Man in the Long Black Coat and Mad Hot Ballroom. He has also produced Murder at Yellowstone, Call to Spy, Shoplifters of the World, and the 2021 Sundance film Prisoners of the Ghostland with Nicolas Cage. He has a long list of films that have premiered at Sundance. He has worked in television as the Supervising Producer on HBO’s Emmy-winning documentary series Hostages, among many other professional credentials.
Ivey Rey is a professional makeup artist for TV, film, commercials, and luxury events in NYC, and has worked as an associate producer for reality television (TLC, Discovery, ID), prior to changing careers to make-up artistry.
Alaina Donnellon is the Senior VP of Local Media at Active International, an international media buying and bartering agency. She is joined on our panel by colleague and fellow alumnus James Ferguson, VP Digital at Active International.
Cloey Callahan is a senior reporter at global publication, Digital Media, where she covers all things future of work for its WorkLife vertical. She has also worked for the Times Union Hudson Valley, Hudson Valley One, Hudson Valley Magazine, and the Shawangunk Journal.
Scott Skuggevik is an Associate Producer in News Media, currently with Fox Weather. Prior to this he worked with Flickr Filmworks and Access Broadway.
Felicia Kirschner is the Promotions Director and an On-Air personality with iHeartMedia’s Q92 in the Hudson Valley. She can be heard every morning on the Marino Show. As promotions director she runs two markets, Poughkeepsie NY & Sussex NJ. I help organize on air contesting, online contesting, development of events, blogging, and more.

Lee Hunt is a strategist and industry thought leader for media companies across the globe. His success in launching and positioning entertainment brands, in addition to his ground-breaking work in audience management and competitive analysis, have set many of the standards for our industry.
Lee began his career on the client side in the 1980s, launching, branding and executive producing at Lifetime, VH1, TNT and MTV. In the 90s, he founded the creative services agency, Lee Hunt Associates. After a decade of working with scores of media companies around the world, Lee sold LHA to the digital services company, Razorfish. In 2001, he launched the strategic consultancy, Lee Hunt LLC.
