Maverick Concerts is seeking an individual to join a team of highly motivated people as a Social Media and Events Intern. Below are details on job description, hours, wage inclusion, etcetera.
Maverick Concerts is the oldest continuous summer chamber music festival in America. From June to September, Sunday Chamber music concerts are in full swing. Performances include renowned soloists and ensembles.
Maverick Concerts’ well selected Social Media and Events Intern will assist in the collection of information about artists and events at the venue.
Is this internship in person?
This internship is a part-time, hourly position and the applicant would be working on site or remotely. Maverick Concerts does not have a physical office.
Responsibilities that come with this internship?
- Create and write social media posts, post images and videos to social media, respond to social media comments and messages. You would take photographs and videos at events as well.
- Collect and organize information about upcoming artists and events at Maverick Concerts.
- Develop creative and engaging social media posts to promote the events within Maverick Concerts style and formatting guidelines.
- Take high -quality photographs and videos at events using a smartphone or a digital camera along with basic editing of photographs and videos before posting on social media.
- Keep Maverick Concert’s social media accounts updated, including responding to and/or liking comments or messages.
What are the requirements?
To be considered, a candidate must have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc…)
- Familiarity with photography and shooting/editing video on a smartphone.
- Highly organized and detail- oriented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

When will this internship begin?
This internship opportunity will be for the summer. Starting work by promoting our 2024 concert season in April is great.
Concert season runs on Saturdays/Sundays. From June 29th-September 15th.
