Today Media Inc, publishers of Hudson Valley Magazine and The Valley Table, is
looking for photo interns for a part-time position based out of its offices in Fishkill, NY.
This position is an opportunity to see the innerworkings of art and design direction for
regional magazines. This is an unpaid position and participating interns must receive
college credit.
Hudson Valley is a monthly lifestyle magazine that has celebrated the region for almost
50 years. It divulges in food, travel, home and design, influential and interesting
residents, and much more. The Valley Table is a quarterly publication specializing in local
food and farms, and organizes Hudson Valley Restaurant Week.
Interns will perform the following duties across both publications:
• Photo assignments
• Coordinating photo shoots with contacts
• Photo and design research
• Editing images: resizing, retouching, color correction
• Attending events and photographing stories for the magazine and website
• Pitching and brainstorming photo content for future issues
Students majoring or specializing in journalism, photojournalism, media studies,
photography, and film are encouraged to apply. Note: due to COVID-19, this internship’s
work environment (remote, in-person, or hybrid) has not yet been determined.
