Fall 2022 Advising Memo to Students — Please Read About Important Dates, etc.

Welcome to the Fall semester!

Just a quick note with some important dates and advising tips.

First, September 4th is the LAST DAY to add or drop a course to your schedule without an electronic permission of instructor (and a late fee). September 11th is the last day to add/drop a course but you will need electronic permission from the instructor and $20 course change fee. Instructors generally will NOT add students after the first week of classes, so it’s wise to check your Fall class schedule NOW and make any adjustments as soon as possible.

Please download and save the SUNY New Paltz | Fall 2022 Full Semester Academic Calendar which has all the deadlines, policies and forms/processes.

For those who plan to graduate in December, please make sure your progress report has all the graduation and major requirements complete or in progress and that you have at least 120 credits. If you need to make changes that require advising, speak to your major advisor ASAP; and be sure you’ve applied for graduation via my.newpaltz.edu > Graduation.

Our department advisor Nancy Heiz has walk-in office hours all this week and next week if you can’t meet with your major advisor (her office is in Coykendall Science Bldg, Room 64 at the very end of the hall).

**Remember to use ONLY your newpaltz.edu email address, or you will miss important school emails. And please include your Banner (N) number on all emails.

Wishing you a productive, successful and healthy semester!
