Andre Lambertson is an Emmy nominated award-winning photojournalist and filmmaker committed to documenting stories of transformation. Lambertson has created photo essays on social issues for magazines, books, foundations, and museums, including Time, National Geographic, Fortune, The New York Times Magazine, the Sunday London Times, Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, Mother Jones, USA Today, The Ford Foundation, The Smithsonian Museum and The Corcoran Museum. His awards include, five separate Pulitzer Center grants for investigative journalism, The George Soros Foundation Media fellowship, The Webby award, Art For Justice Fund Grantee, National Press Award , The Nation grant and the National Geographic Emergency Grant for Journalists. He co-directed and shot a documentary titled “The Whole Gritty City,” about marching bands that help combat teen street violence in New Orleans, which aired on CBS .

Summer 2024 Study Abroad Reporting Opportunity in Spain — Info Session Dec. 7
Study and report in Madrid next summer Have you fantasized about reporting overseas? Do you think about studying abroad? The 4-week program, which runs June 27th to July 24th, 2024, will give you a taste of the foreign correspondent’s life in one of the most beautiful and culturally rich capital cities in Europe. SCHEDULE HERE About the Madrid program You’ll learn to find stories in a global context and conduct interviews to report on from across the city. You’ll publish your work on a multimedia website (options to publish bilingually in Spanish and English). No Spanish language is required, but we’ll give you some Spanish lessons and you’ll be reporting on stories collected from locals speaking in Spanish and English. You’ll earn 3 transfer credits from the University of Jamestown, which can count as a journalism elective or meet a global studies requirement (check with your school). Graduating seniors and others who don’t need the credit will get a $450 discount off the $5,745 program fee.
