Writers Read Founder and Alum Returns to Campus for Audio Recording Session

Ed McCann with interns Quincy Simmons and Kris Carretta

Recently this March, Ed McCann, founder of Writers Read, worked in the DMJ audio booths with interns Quincy Simmons and Kris Carretta. Quincy and Kris engineered McCann’s voiceover tracks for several upcoming podcast episodes for Writer’s Read, which they will also help produce.

McCann is an alumnus of SUNY New Paltz and a former intern himself. Now, he works to give back to the school by mentoring students through internships with Writers Read. With him, interns record and edit videos and audios of storytellers who perform their 5-minute works on stage before a live audience.
