The Woodstock Film Festival is accepting applications for the Spring, Summer, and Fall Internship Program. Departments include but are not limited to: Operations, Public Relations and Marketing, Festival Administration, Programming, Graphic Design, Photography, and Production.
Responsibilities may include: database management, film entry screening evaluations, fundraising, public relations, social media, copy editing, community outreach, industry research, production coordination, event planning, and equipment optimizing/organization.
The internship will be custom tailored depending on the intern’s individual experience and skills. Applicants with extensive knowledge of relevant software systems will be able to expand upon their experience. Programs include Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Canva, Squarespace, Lightroom, monday.com, Google Drive, and more.
Interns will have many opportunities to meet and network with well-connected and up-and-coming industry professionals of all levels, including festival directors, project managers, graphic designers, web developers, filmmakers, distributors, and members of the press.
Interns will work scheduled hours at the festival’s year-round office in Woodstock, on-site for special events and during festival operations, or partially remotely. Ideal internship experiences are between 120-160 hours.
Interns learn administrative practices, management skills, and fundraising strategies associated with the film, media arts industry, and the running of an educational, not-for-profit 501c3 organization.
Microsoft Office, Google Drive, social media, Squarespace experience, are preferred but not required. Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, fun, team environment and willingness to try new things is required. Experience with professional phone and email correspondence is a plus.
**PLEASE NOTE this is not a film production job; however, this massive undertaking with many moving parts mimics a film production in its elements.
