Hawk Studios is proud to announce its first-ever film festival on DECEMBER 7th @ 7 PM in the CSB AUDITORIUM! This film festival will showcase the creativity and artistic achievements of any New Paltz students who wish to enter! Students have the opportunity to present their OWN FILMS for the chance of winning at The Festival. If you do not wish to be involved in the selection process, you can still choose to show your film for fun while keeping it out of the selection process. Students who choose to be a part of the selection process could win some fun prizes! The winner for BEST PICTURE will receive a $50 Best Buy Gift Card! You also have the chance to win:

- BEST DOCUMENTARY
- BEST SCREENPLAY
- BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY
- BEST ENSEMBLE
- AUDIENCE FAVORITE PICTURE
We are also excited to announce that the selections will be judged by a special panel of judges, composed of respected DMJ faculty and campus celebrities! The panel will be made up of:

Below, you will find a submission form for your film. Submissions are due NOVEMBER 30TH! The eligibility for submissions is also listed below.

Rules:*
- Submissions must be more than 1 minute long but less than 30 minutes
- The person can submit more than 1 film but no more than 3
- Person submitting film must be a New Paltz Student
- The film has to have been made within the year (Jan 2023 – Nov 2023)
- If the film has graphic violence or excessive flashing lights that might trigger epilepsy etc, the film must create a title card in the beginning warning viewers
- Film must be sent to nphawkstudios@gmail.com via an unlisted Youtube link and/or an uploaded file that we can download.
- Film must be an mp4 or mov
*If these rules are not followed, The Hawk Studios E-Board can take a film out of consideration for the festival. The Hawk Studios E-Board does not determine the results of the award ceremony and will not know the results until the night of the film festival, just like everyone else.
