The American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) is now accepting applications for the 2023 Magazine Internship Program. This is a paid position. This year the Magazine Internship Program expects to offer 20 students the opportunity to intern at magazines and websites primarily in New York and Washington.
Applicants should have completed their third year in college before June 2023 and expect to graduate in spring 2024. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
Students who have been nominated by academic departments are given preference. If you would like to be considered for nomination, email phillipl@newpaltz.edu with a 300-word justification for being the department’s nominee and a copy of your transcript.
Interns assigned to magazines and websites in New York and Washington can expect to work in the editorial offices of their assigned publications in summer 2023. A limited number of virtual internships at magazines and websites outside New York and Washington will also be available.
The deadline to request to be nominated is November 1.
The deadline to apply is December 1, 2022.
