The State University of New York at New Paltz’s 2020 Master of Fine Arts online exhibition showcases the work of SUNY’s largest studio art MFA program. In response to the unprecedented worldwide pandemic, we have postponed our physical exhibition in the nationally renowned Dorsky Museum until the fall.
We invite you to join our radically innovative students as they share their creative reimagining of the world. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, many of our students were unable to complete their thesis project before our studios closed; the work in this exhibition represents a view into their creative process and demonstrates how our community stays active even in the face of adversity.
New Paltz is regularly listed as the number one public university in the nation for Metal MFA programs and consistently ranked among the region’s top 10 public universities overall. We take pride in fostering a learning community that engenders critical thinking and a profound appreciation for difference and dialogue. Our studio spaces are housed in a state-of-the-art, 50,000-square-foot Fine Arts Building, a 25,000-square-foot painting and drawing facility and a 25,000-square-foot building dedicated to photography and graphic design. Our campus is also home to the Hudson Valley Additive Manufacturing Center, a world-class, design-driven 3D printing lab
