🗓 Sound Your Truth: Emergence/y, October 14,2022

We invite the campus and wider community to participate in an interactive evening of creative sharing and collective expression on the Courtyard / Sojourner Truth Library quad.  Our intention is to particularly amplify and center underrepresented voices.

Friday, October 14, 2022
4:30pm – 7:30 pm
Free Food!

Our plans for Sound Your Truth: Emergence/y are evolving and will be shaped by YOUR contributions.  To get a sense of involvement possibilities, please see the documentation of SOUND YOUR TRUTH 2021.

Emergence/y:
How do we emerge in times of crisis?
How might we bridge the gap?
How might we fill the void?
How might we practice radical care?
How might we flow out of the void?

Rather than sequencing activities, we will layer different modes of expression, so they fluidly respond to each other and create an experiential whole.

REGISTER HERE TO PARTICIPATE AS PERFORMER or CREATOR
(or just show up to observe and join in)

Several faculty and their classes have already committed to contributing art, spoken word, and documenting. To set the stage, sculpture students will again set up the truth-speaking, truth-listening platform, our large collaboration table, and scrolls for writing and mark-making for all to use during the event.

Please share your contribution plans with us on this woofoo form.

We invite all members of the campus community and beyond to contribute and participate in ways that relate to their discipline and concerns in some way.
