Wirecutter is seeking an inventive and motivated intern to join their editorial team. In this role, you will learn the ins and outs of their growing, thriving editorial organization and collaborate with different teams to understand and participate in the process.
The mission of The New York Times is to seek the truth and help people understand the world. That means independent journalism is at the heart of all they do as a company.
As the Summer 2023 Editorial Projects Intern, you’ll report to the projects editor as an intern within their 100+ person editorial team. You will contribute to editorial events and initiatives (everything from theme weeks to deal events to tracking new assignments), generate ideas on how to improve our editorial processes, and take ownership of projects. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn from and support other teams at Wirecutter, including the content, research, and web production teams.
Interested candidates should provide a resume and a cover letter outlining why you want to intern at Wirecutter and your experience with managing projects or creating workflows. You can only upload one file in the “Résumé/CV” box, so either combine and upload your résumé and cover letter as one file or use the “My Experience” section to attach your cover letter.
This is a paid, full-time (40 hours), remote internship. The summer internship term starts on June 5, 2023 and ends on August 11, 2023. The rate of base pay for this role is $15.00 per hour.
