The Broadcast Education Assocation (BEA) is proud to administer annual scholarships that honor broadcasters and the electronic media profession. These awards support students pursuing excellence in media production, research, and education.

Scholarships are awarded to students that will be juniors, seniors, and/or graduate students at BEA member institutions such as SUNY New Paltz. Applicants are automatically considered for every scholarship for which they are eligible. No extra forms are needed.

Scholarship recipients will be announced in late November, and the money will be awarded in the summer of 2026, to be applied to the 2026-2027 academic year. All selected recipients also receive a complimentary convention registration and membership to BEA’s Honor Society.

The deadline for applications is October 16, 2025.
