SUNY Institute for Local News Offering Paid Summer Internships

The SUNY Institute for Local News (SUNY ILN) has announced up to 20 paid internships for SUNY students, including May 2025 graduates.

Students interested in applying should have previous experience reporting, whether on campus or in the community. Students can partner their media destinations for the summer, and SUNY ILN can help find partnerships as needed. 

Applications are open until May 1, 2025. The internship is 10 weeks, 300 hours, and interns will earn up to $4,800. The internships are offered through SUNY, Empire State Development Corporation, and the SUNY Research Foundation.
