Stomping Ground Technologies is hiring a part-time audio journalist based in the Hudson Valley for a spring internship. Stomping Ground is a location-based audio platform with a mission of connecting and strengthening community through stories. We believe that the fabric of community is woven through stories and aim to leverage our technology to make it easy for locals to both share and discover enriching content.
The position requires you to be responsible for research, interviewing and editing audio stories for the Stomping Ground app. This position requires 15 hours per week; it is virtual with weekly check-ins. There is a $500 stipend.
The role will include:
Research
- Find interesting new people and small businesses to interview
- Reach out to schedule interview times
Create & Edit
- Record interviews
- Edit interviews down to 2-3 minutes
Publish & Promote
- Create social media graphics highlighting interview
- Publish on instagram and Stomping Ground App
Qualifications
- Extremely detail oriented
- Clear and respectful communication
- Strong editorial abilities
