This winter and summer I will be gathering a group of Muslim girls in New York City who are leaders. Contrasting their movement and rebellion with the stereotypes and ugly Islamophobic rhetoric used today (especially during this presidential election), I hope to send a message: Islam is beautiful, and its followers are strong. You cannot beat us down. This is our country too.
That being said, I was wondering if you would be interested in partaking in an interview or two talking about your experience. You would be such an inspiration to the girls I will be documenting and would serve as a beacon of light for the documentary, a proof that sacrifices and actions create valuable products.
