“Sustainable Agriculture in the Mid-Hudson Valley”

Volunteer with organizations in the Mid-Hudson Valley that provide support to the community in the area of sustainable agriculture. (Exact locations are TBD but potentially include Phillies Bridge Farm Project, Seed Song Farm, and Woodstock or Catskill Animal Sanctuary)

Saturdays of Service (SoS) is in its fifth year and provides students with an opportunity to volunteer in the Hudson Valley community over the course of one semester in a FUN and meaningful way. This semester-long initiative gives students the opportunity to take part in a number of volunteer, social, and educational activities to better the community and themselves.

Deadline: All applications must be turned in to the Career Resource Center (HUM 105) no later than Friday, November 17 at 4pm.  Interviews will be scheduled for the end of November. This program is competitive and selective; space is limited to no more than 18 students.

Additional details: Open to full-time, matriculated, undergraduate students at SUNY New Paltz in good academic and judicial standing who have not previously participated in Saturdays of Service or Alternative Spring Break. The Saturdays of Service Program is free for students and all costs related to transportation, service materials, and t-shirt will be covered for the duration of the program.
