Miranda McKane, Visual Arts Major

Miranda is beginning a new chapter of her life. After completing two years of school at Jamestown Community College, and studying abroad in Italy, Miranda is now settling into the New Paltz community. She specializes in landscape art, and is excited to continue pursuing her passions, hopefully in an Intermediate Painting class at school this fall. Her passion for her craft is also visible through her reasoning for taking Introduction to Digital Photography. Miranda takes her own reference photos for her projects and wanted to improve her skills to better capture these reference images.
Though Miranda is happy to begin her journey at New Paltz, this is her very first time living away from her family, and a big transition in schools and communities. She is anxious about this transition yet anticipatory about what new opportunities and experiences New Paltz and being within a short distance from New York City and its renowned museums will provide her with.
