SUNY New Paltz now has an official club for bringing together students from Japan and the rest of the world! It’s called the Japanese Exchange Club, abbreviated as JAX, and its existence is thanks to the efforts of students who put forth time, passion and effort to make it happen. The “exchange” in the club’s title is important. The idea is to bring people together to share language, culture and friendship.
JAX has been steadily coming together over the past several months. Now that it’s received official status as a club, it will receive funding, which means that there will be more activities moving forward. Think festivals, field trips and food!
The President, Ashley Vidal, says: “If you would like to stay updated with what is going on with JAX follow our Instagram, new posts are to come soon! We have exciting plans for the end of the semester, let’s keep the positive energy flowing!”
