For this activity my partner told me the process for painting your nails at home. Depicting the process was fairly simple because painting your nails has clear and straight forward steps. Although, narrowing the process down to 5 steps proved to be more difficult. Initially, I had about 7 or 8 steps in total, but I would say a minimum of 6 steps is needed for someone to do this themselves. My partner liked my depiction, and agreed with the choices I made in the comic. After creating the overall idea of the drawings, I had to go back and clarify some of the images, as well as figure out some other design elements that would make the comic pop more. I think having a few more words might make the comic more understandable for the viewer, but it isn’t necessary.

This is so pretty and appealing to look at. The pictures are mostly clear, I just wish you added a few more steps to the actual painting your nails part. The watercolor background is super pretty too!! -Hailey

Your Visual concepts in your comic is very engaging with the use of watercolor. However, I would recommend adding one or two more steps to clarify the painting of the nails. As it stands, your process is more of how to cut and smooth the nails rather than complete polish. I also enjoy your mix in materials. – Monique

The decision to use watercolor for this was great! It really brings you into the visuals that is nail polish. I think it also works that you left out words/directions as theyre not needed, since each step flows well enough we’re able to follow.

Hi Remy!
I really love the way your comic came out! The use of watercolor I think was a really nice touch, as it resembles the marble nails trend. I like how you chose to show the finger at different angles, it really brings the whole thing to life. Nice use of minimal text as well! Great job (:
