Hi, my name is Danielle Potack (she/her/hers). I am 18 years old and I’m from Clarkstown, New York. I am majoring in Adolescent Education in English. I don’t have any formal previous writing experience. Despite my lack of experience, writing has always been something interesting to me and I have always wanted to become a better writer. I have spent some time writing for fun and exploring different genres, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and more.
       In this class I am looking to further develop my writing skills, especially my academic writing skills, and overall become a better writer. I am hoping that by the end of the semester, this portfolio accurately showcases improvement in all aspects of my writing.
