Sustainable Textiles Brochure

Raquel worked with Prof. Andrea Varga (Costume Design / Theatre Arts) to create a series of brochures for a workshop on sustainable textile design. Raquel designed the brochures and created the custom illustrations. Printed at Print Services, SUNY New Paltz.

Design Week 2025

Emily Ahn, Fall 2025

New Paltz Design Week is an annual event in the Department of Design at SUNY New Paltz celebrating design on campus in the community. The week features workshops, speakers, alumni panels, and other special events on visual communication, digital fabrication, professional practice, and more. Drawing inspiration from textures and shapes found around New Paltz, Emily worked with faculty and students in the department to create a visual identity to promote the week, including posters, social media, and of course, swag! New Paltz Historic Preservation Commission

Faith Wilson, Spring 2025

Project Description: The Town of New Paltz Historic Preservation Commission is a certified local government body that designates historic landmarks and promotes local history through signage. Faith worked with members of the Commission’s board to develop a new visual identity that translates a strong sense of connection to the organization’s mission, while communicating an energetic, inclusive spirit. Icons inspired by Lenape bead work honor the Lenape, African Americans, Huguenots, and the broader community, highlighting resilience, legacy, and shared memory beyond buildings.

Convivium Roman Banquet

Hart Frable, Spring 2025

Event branding, signage, promotional graphics

Project Description: Hart worked with Art History Professor Keely Heuer on the branding and promotional graphics for The Convivium, an ancient Roman banquet attended by over 400 hundred students and community that took place in May 2025 in the Wellness Center. Hart designed the event identity as well as a printed menu given to all attendees (inspired by Roman cuisine!), signage, printed and digital posters.

Quinn Bonney, Spring 2025

Website design redesign, WordPress

Project Description: Quinn worked with Prof. Matt Newcomb, Director of the Faculty Development Center to redesign and reorganize the FDC’s website, a WordPress-based website that features resources to help New Paltz faculty with teaching and learning excellence. The new redesign highlights upcoming events, a more intuitive navigation bar and a mobile-friendly design. Quinn also received technical support from the Office of Instructional Technology on working with the WordPress platform.

Natural Dye Garden

Project Description: Allie worked with Sculpture Professor Emily Puthoff and faculty in Printmaking to create signage and an informational website for the Natural Dye Garden located behind the Sculpture studios in the Fine Arts Building. The gardens are a space where students and faculty grow plants to be used for making inks and dyes.  The signage incorporates artwork from printmaking faculty and students.

 

NY ACE Women’s Network

Project Description: Olivia worked with the NY ACE Women’s Network, a state organization that support’s women in higher education careers. Olivia created a visual design to revamp their website as well as promotional graphics for upcoming networking and professional events.

Metal program’s NYC Jewelry Week Exhibition: The Mount

Project Description: Jess worked with faculty and students in the SUNY New Paltz Metal program on the visual branding for The Mount, their exhibition at New York City Jewelry Week in November 2024. Jess created the visuals, a pop-art play on mounting in contemporary art + jewelry, as well as graphics that were applied as vinyl to the walls during the exhibition. The duct tape banana hand stickers went quickly, too!
