1. I really liked this shadow project. It was fun to let loose and draw. The artist visitor that came was awesome. This project was really cool. It was so interesting to see how different everyone’s drawing turned out. I loved collaborating with the besties. It was fun exploring shadows and lines and colors.
2. I learned more about collaborating with classmates. I also learned how everyone can take the same prompt and do their own unique thing. Everyone made something so different and it was so cool to see everyones. The visiting artist had a lot of knowledge about collaborating and working as a team. She talked about how important it is to challenge yourself.
3. As a future elementary school teacher I can definitely see doing this as a group project where we draw in a way like me and Angela. We experimented with line and shadow. I used hand shadow puppets and had fun with movement and color. A lesson can be a collaborative class project where we use lights and cover the wall in paper and draw together, or if easier we do it in groups.

1. I had a really good time while making this tape mural with Angela. We both don’t love perspective but we chose a subject matter that we were both interested in, a mushroom village! I found it very therapeutic to listen to music with my bestie Angela and tape away.
2. I learned that perspective isn’t always horrible. I also learned to use a new medium that I have never explored, tape! I never thought about creating a tape mural and it is a very good way to explore things without creating permanent artwork on the wall.
3. I could definitely use this idea in my future classroom. I get so excited every time I walk past the hallway with our tape murals and I know that kids would love to see their art displayed like this in the hallways of their school. This would be a fun grade project to do collaborating with all the students. It could be an anual thing where every year in fifth grade the students create a group tape mural that stays up for a while. It would give kids something to look forward to to when they are in fifth grade to participate in.

1. I have always hated perspective because I don’t find it very exciting and I don’t like doing it because I get bored. I liked playing with legos and creating the structure I drew. After I got really focused I enjoyed it more. I also liked the part where we switched with a classmate and tried to recreate the other persons structure based off looking at their drawing. It was actually pretty easy, which means my partner made a really good drawing.
2. I have never drawn on graph paper like that. I learned how it can help with perspective. I have not drawn something in perspective in a long time. I learned maybe its not as bad as I thought it was. I also learned that I should do more of it because it is a really important drawing skill to have.
3. I would use this in a classroom. As much as I don’t like perspective, I understand why it is important to learn and like the idea of playing with legos to start to make your own structure. That was the intriguing part of the process. I also chose to use colored paper which helped engage me more in the activity. For a lesson I would have them start with drawing these lego structures. Then make up their own structures like we did in our sketchbooks.
