I was just thinking about how amazing our brains really are, as it can function as a single organ yet control our entire bodies. These are small studies, about 3×3 inches on heavy print paper. I used india ink, spray paint and wax to create a network of connections…. as I investigate neuroscience, I have really began to think more about behaviors in relation to my IEP research. I would almost like to create a large web/ visualization using this format, small studies to represent neurology, psychology, brain science and cognitive sciences. Any suggestions?
It might be interesting if you did them on a bigger scale. You could then cut out silhouettes of different body parts from each square and assemble them together to form the human body or just display the parts next to each other, suggesting a human body. ORRRR keep them displayed the way you have them arranged on the table and draw a large map, nervous system or something on top of them. It’s like they are puzzle pieces and when they are all displayed together they form a cohesive system.
Lindsay, great idea, draw ontop of them. I also like the idea of doing them larger, I am really pleased with the results.. I think it would also read as more powerful if they were done on a larger scale. Great ideas,, thanks!
