  1. Melissa, I think you have really found your nitch… I really appreciate that your trying new materials too. I still have that small canvas you gave me over the summer with the early stages of encaustic. You have inspired me to try this process as well… I cannot wait to see what you come out with for summer. Have you ever tried encaustic on heavy papers, Im pondering if it may be a success for a chapter in one of my books?

    • At the workshop I took they mentioned papers. You should work with printmaking paper. Certain papers do not working for bonding well with the wax. Printmaking papers are usually highly affective. I forgot the reason she gave. I was a little tired.

  2. I think that encaustics are meant to flow and disperse so it is interesting to see you control it like this! I loved your encaustic explorations over the winter and I can’t wait to see where you go with it!
