The Opposite of Cheating Faculty Reading Group; Tuesdays 11:00-12:15 pm Starting 2/24; Books Provided

by

The FDC will be hosting a faculty reading group for The Opposite of Cheating: Teaching for Integrity in the Age of AI by Tricia Bertram Gallant and David Rettinger. The Opposite of Cheating reframes the discussion on academic integrity and AI by focusing on why students cheat; how instructors can support student learning through course, assignment, and assessment design; and strategies for incorporating academic integrity and ethics into the teaching and learning processes.

The reading group will meet Tuesdays from 11:00-12:15pm on 2/24, 3/17, 4/7, 4/28. Each meeting will discuss 2 chapters of the book, and all are welcome (even if you haven’t read). Faculty may attend in person at the FDC in College Hall 113 or remotely via Webex. Books will be provided for faculty who sign up.
