Help higher education sustainability leaders navigate our rapidly changing world by submitting a proposal for AASHE’s Global Conference for Sustainability in Higher Education (GCSHE) through the Emerging Issues Call for Proposals. Proposals related to racial justice, campus reopening, and resilience in the face of climate change are particularly welcome. Shape this year’s conference – submit a proposal by Aug. 20.
We are pleased to offer scholarships for those in need of financial assistance to attend the Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education (GCSHE). We realize these are challenging times within higher education and we hope this scholarship program will enable greater participation in the conference. In an effort to increase the diversity of attendees and perspectives, priority will be given to attendees, presenters, and students of color. We especially welcome applications from individuals associated with minority-serving institutions. Scholarship recipients will receive up to the cost of a full conference registration (valued at up to US$125 for students and US$300 for regular attendees). Recipients will be notified ahead of the conference. Applications are due Sept. 3, 2021.
Applications to be an AASHE mentor, mentee or peer collaborator close Aug. 27! Apply for this year-long program to connect with other sustainability staff and faculty, exchange knowledge and perspectives, and expand your professional networks.
SUNY NP is a recognized Tree Campus!
Chances are, you’ve heard about trees in the news lately… their connection to mental health, urban heat, filtering air pollution, and capturing carbon. Your campus trees are already working hard to solve some of the most pressing issues facing humanity. Has your campus committed to protecting them and maximizing their benefits? Since 2008, the Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree Campus Higher Education program has offered a simple framework for sound campus forest management, a peer network of sustainability leaders contributing to campus tree efforts, and recognition that captures the attention of your community and administration.
AASHE is the place for you to exchange ideas and connect with other like-minded sustainability leaders. Learn more!
