Many of us are keenly aware of the mental health issues facing young people today, and often we are eager to help but lack the tools to do so. I am pleased to share a training opportunity for all faculty and staff that offers one set of proven tools. Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training that has been offered to thousands of schools and communities across the country, and is available at SUNY this spring.
Jackie Cirello and Matthew Swerdloff will be offering the training in April for all faculty and staff. The training is limited to twenty participants, and takes place on April 10 and 11 from 5-8 PM in SUB.
