What is Camp Day? 

A summer job fair at SUNY New Paltz where students can explore opportunities with camps and seasonal employers. Positions include counselors, educators, coaches, and more in urban, rural, and wilderness settings. All students and majors are welcome. Camps offer paid positions, some with internship credit and on-the-job training. 

What should I expect? 

Camps will have informational tables where students can learn about opportunities, ask questions, and apply or sign up for more information. Visit Handshake before the event to register and review attending camps. 

How do I apply for camp jobs? 

Camps hire throughout the spring. Connect with camp leaders at the fair to boost your chances of being hired. Then, apply online. 

How should I prepare? 

Register and review camps and positions on Handshake. Bring a tote bag or folder for material. Optionally, you may bring copies of your resume. Dress casually or professionally. 

How will I know if a camp job is right for me? 

Consider your summer availability, financial needs, preferred location, career goals, and personal values.
