Finding non-work study student employment just got simpler.
Great news, we’ve made it easier than ever to find on-campus student employment opportunities (non-work study).
Going forward, many departments across campus, especially those in the Division of Student Affairs, will post their open positions directly on Handshake, which is provided to you by the Career Resource Center. Most departments typically recruit for their openings at the beginning of the Fall semester, and the end of the Spring semester.
What Departments are on Handshake?
When they are actively recruiting, you can expect to find job postings from departments like:
- The Center for Student Engagement (CSE)
- Residence Life
- The Athletic & Wellness Center (AWC)
- The Psychological Counseling Center (PCC)
- The Disability Resource Center (DRC)
- Student Health Services
- Center for Student Success (CSS)
- Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)
- Student Help Desk
How to Find the Jobs
- Log in to Handshake with your my.newpaltz.edu credentials (found within the internships & careers section on my New Paltz)
- Go to the Jobs tab.
- Use the filter options and select “on-campus student employment” to view all active, non-work study positions.
